My name is Cathy Hayden, and I have 5 children. Sami and Chris are twins. The next oldest is Austin, followed by Sean and Connor. I also have five granddaughters and one grandson. I’m an only child, and I grew up in Bertrand, NE, which is 50 miles southwest of Kearney. I graduated from college at UNK. My first 2 years of teaching were in Niobrara, the next 8 were in Butte, and then I came to Southern in 1999. I taught 11 years at the high school and have spent the remainder of my time at the elementary.
