Hi, my name is Jarod Remmers and I am going to be the new 6th-grade teacher at Southern Elementary School. I graduated from Southern Public Schools in 2004 and completed my undergraduate degree at Peru State College in 2008, with a degree in Elementary Education. In addition to my teaching duties, I am also the Head Junior High Boys’ Basketball coach. I live in Beatrice with my wife Jessi and we have three kids: Teagan, Kaden, and Jaylen. I enjoy watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers, golfing, and spending time with my family. I look forward to the opportunity of teaching at Southern and starting a new chapter in my career.
