Sophomore Biology Henry Doorly Zoo Scavenger Hunt
Mr. Tunink's Sophomore Biology classes were fortunate to be able to continue a tradition that dates back 10 years. Students were given an opportunity, May 3rd, to demonstrate their knowledge of zoology from our most recent chapter, teamwork (groups of 3 or 4), technology use (Goosechase app), map-reading and planning, problem solving, and time management (only 5 hours for 50 items) skills. If they completed all 50 items before 3pm, they received a 100% on their semester final, and did not have to take the test, as a reward for their hard work. I have included our group photo, a sample of the scavenger hunt app and list, and a final leader board from the day. We had 5 out of the 8 groups complete the challenge. We even had a small senior group complete the challenge as they were unable to have this field trip their Sophomore year due to COVID.
