Rock Creek Station Trip

The third-grade class took a field trip on October 25 th to
Rock Creek Station. Rock Creek consists of two stations
or road ranches. The ranches were occupied from
1857-1867 and served many roles including: as a pony
express station, stage station, general store, blacksmith
shop, and likely a post office. The students had a
morning experiencing the California /Oregon trail and
what it would be like living in the 1800’s.
