Notice of special education services for children who attend nonpublic schools
and/or for children who attend home schools.
On March 17, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., a meeting conducted by Southern Public Schools will take place at Southern Jr./Sr. High School Boardroom located at 115 South 11th Street, Wymore, NE. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents who have parentally placed their child in an approved and/or accredited nonpublic school or exempt home school and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend an approved and/or accredited nonpublic schools and exempt home schools, which are within the Southern Public Schools district for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents of a home-schooled child or a child attending a nonpublic school who has been or may be identified with a disability and attend an approved and/or accredited nonpublic school within the boundaries of Southern Public Schools, are urged to attend.
