Southern Public Schools
A proposal to use any of the year’s “carryover” balance of non-public funds for
public special education students to be use if not needed for non-public use.
On May 24, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., a meeting conducted by Southern Public Schools will take place at Southern Jr./Sr. High School Boardroom located at 115 South 11th Street, Wymore, NE. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents who have parentally placed their child in an approved and/or accredited non-public school or exempt home school and representatives of non-public schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend an approved and/or accredited non-public schools and exempt home schools, which are within the Southern Public Schools district for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents of a home-schooled child or a child attending a non-public school who has been or may be identified with a disability and attend an approved and/or accredited non-public school within the boundaries of Southern Public Schools, are urged to attend.
