In Mrs. Schluter’s Information Technology II class, students get the opportunity to test out their skills in the coding world during the 4th quarter. Code.org is the curriculum used to help provide exposure to students and give them the opportunity to learn about computer science and computer programming. The curriculum is free, and the goal behind it is to teach students problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, all while traversing their way through various coding problems set up in a game-like, online atmosphere.
