As our fall activities get started we wanted to reach out and communicate to you that our priority at Johnson County Central is to provide a safe and positive atmosphere where our students can compete and experience high school sports & activities. In addition, we want our families and friends to share in the experience as much as possible. Please be flexible with us as things will be changing for both home and away events. We will do our best to keep you up to date as protocols change.
As of now, these are our Game Day Protocols for any home football games at the high school field in Tecumseh. We have created a plan to encourage social distancing and maximize the distance between home and away fans within our facility’s capabilities. These protocols have been created with guidance from the Southeast District Health Department. Please note that these may change in accordance with our local health department.
All fans are encouraged to check out the JCC Striv live streaming channel on striv.tv/jcc. We will attempt to live stream as many events as possible, including all home varsity volleyball and football games.
ADMISSION POLICY: JCC will require all spectators to have their temperatures taken as they enter. Temperatures will be taken as you pay your admission into the game. Fans are encouraged to bring exact change. Adults admission will be $5 and $4 for students.
ENTRANCES: Visiting fans will park and enter at the east gate. Home fans will enter at the top of the west stairs. The playground entrance will be limited to handicap accessible parking for home fans only.
SEATING: Home fans will sit on the west side of the field, including the built-in bleachers. Visiting fans will sit on the east side of the field. All fans are to sit in family clusters, observing proper social distancing. Social distancing will be expected. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and spread out around the football field. Please be mindful of the track.
CONCESSIONS: There will be separate concessions: visiting concessions will be on the track in the southeast corner (below the scoreboard) and home concessions will remain at the press box. Please pay with exact change.
RESTROOMS: Visiting fans will have portable toilets, located on the shot-put ring. Home fans will continue to use the press box restrooms.
MASK GUIDELINES: Fans will be asked to wear masks in high traffic areas such as restrooms and concessions, except when sitting in the bleachers in family clusters. All JCC working personnel, such as gate & concession stand workers, will be required to wear a face covering and gloves.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Any junior high or elementary students attending the game must be seated with a parent at all times.
The playground will be closed.
Locker rooms will only be available for the home team.
No post-game handshakes.
Fans are not allowed onto the field at the conclusion of the game. Please give ample social distancing to allow teams to exit the field. All spectators should avoid large gatherings and/or loitering postgame.
