Personal Finance Students Participate in a "Game of Chance"

September 02, 2020

To kick off the semester in Personal Finance, students participated in a “game of chance.”  They had to roll a dice to determine their fate in six different categories.  These categories told them the outlook for their futures in regards to their education level, GPA, housing, transportation, financial status, family makeup, and recreational activities.  The purpose of the game was to help students recognize that they do not want to leave their real life up to a “game of chance.”  They should want to set money goals for their future, just as they should be setting goals in many other areas of their lives, in order to be intentional and successful with their money.
