My name is Melissa Omar and I have been teaching at Southern since the 2014-2015 school year. I am currently the 7-9 English and Speech Teacher.

I am originally from Columbus, NE and have lived in Nebraska most of my life. My husband and I moved out to Cheyenne, WY after we got married and lived out there for four years. My husband’s name is Chad and we have been married since June 2009. We have four kids. Our first set of twins, Finely and Edison were born in August 2011 and our second set of twins, Gideon and Thaddeus were born in March 2018.
My hobbies include running, reading and cooking. I have completed three half marathons and many 10k and 5k races. My favorite books to read are mystery/suspense and young adult.
