Mrs. Ogg's American Literature Students

Mrs. Ogg's American Literature students have begun reading Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. One major theme in the novella is friendship. Students had to create a wanted ad for a friend. They listed the things they want in friendship and also what their friends would receive from them in return. This got them thinking about one of the major themes in the novella before they started reading. Throughout this unit, students will become familiar with all of the major themes in this story and discuss them as a class. Come see their "Wanted: Friend" ads in the hallway by Mrs. Ogg’s room.
