Two cheerleaders smile while sitting at a classroom table, each holding a small frozen treat on a stick. Plates of food, cups, and snacks are spread out on the table in front of them, suggesting a class celebration or team meal.

All Spanish students were tasked with researching an authentic (traditional) Hispanic or Spanish food or drink. They were then asked to make that food or drink as close to the recipe as possible and to bring it to share with their class and others! We had food from Mexico, Spain, El Salvador, Cuba, etc. Some class favorites were: carnitas, enchiladas, horchata, sandía agua fresca, paletas de fresas, tres leches cake, etc. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this day a huge success!
