A group of high school students stand in a line along a brick building on a sunny day outside Hot Shops Art Center. The students smile toward the camera, with parked cars and city buildings visible in the background.

The art students visited the Joslyn Art Museum and the Hot Shops in Omaha on Wednesday. The museum was a great place for students to learn and explore a wide variety of art mediums, from Egyptian to Contemporary art. We ended the day with a tour at the Hot Shops to learn how all that art is made, including glass blowing and pottery! The day's lesson was to inspire students to get their ideas out of their heads and into the world, and make a living while doing what they love!
