The Student Council recently hosted our Homecoming 2026 celebrations with the theme of Carnival Nights. Leading up to the crowning was a week of fun dress up days. Monday asked everyone to bring out their goofy shoes, oversized ties and rainbow wigs for Clown Day. Tuesday saw animals of all shapes and sizes throughout the building for Circus Animal Day. Wednesday saw the strange and the odd as people tried to come up with the best attempt at Freak Show/Wacky Wednesday. Thursday saw pairs, triplets, and a host of matching teachers celebrating Two of a Kind Day(Twin Day). Finally, we all put on our best Red, Black, and White Raiders attire for School Spirit Day.
We were fortunate to get in the game and the crowning ceremony before the intense rain arrived. Our former King(Carsen Goes) and Queen(Jenna Forney) helped to crown our new King(Paxx Adams) and our new Queen(Caroline Heard). Our festivities ended with a 2 hour dance and lovely food from Snackin' Wagon. Students were greeted after the dance with a very heavy thunderstorm and the Student Council worked hard to disassemble the decorations.
A special thanks goes out to everyone who helped make the night a success including Mr. Dodge for his DJ equipment, Kimberly Basulto for being our DJ, Snackin' Wagon for the amazing food, Mrs. Decker for taking our tickets, and Mr. Murphy for helping chaperone the dance and announce at the football field.
