Wide header-style graphic in black, red, and white featuring the Southern Raiders rider logo on the left and bold, brush-style text reading “Where Has the School Year Gone?” across the center. Dynamic paint streaks and motion lines add energy, with a clock graphic on the right symbolizing time passing. The overall design is high-contrast, fast-paced, and school-spirited.

Where has the school year gone? It is hard to believe that we are finishing up the 2025-2026 school year. Our staff and students have had a very busy year, but I believe that the months of March, April, and May are the busiest months of the school year. With the arrival of spring came many activities. Our students are involved in track, golf, eSports, Speech, and quiz bowl. Vocal and instrumental music students spend many hours preparing for the district competition, where both groups gave great performances, and put on numerous concerts to wrap up the year. The Junior class spent countless hours preparing for the Junior/Senior Prom. Thank you to the Juniors and their sponsors, Mrs. Mick and Mrs. Dickinson, for your hard work. As always, prom was a huge success. Southern’s Scholastic/Honors night was held on May 5, and students were recognized for their academic success. Congratulations to those students who were inducted into the Southern Chapter of the National Honor Society. Southern honored over 70 students for their hard work in and out of the classroom during this program. Student-athletes were recognized on May 12th during the athletic banquet sponsored by the Southern Sports Boosters. Thank you to the Sports Boosters for your generous donations and the hard work you put in organizing the banquet. Congratulations to Azlynn Stevens and Carsen Goes for being named the Raider Student Athlete of the Year. On May 16, we will say goodbye to 27 graduating seniors as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. Good luck to all of our graduates. As you can see, the students and staff at Southern have been extremely busy, and we are proud of our students' accomplishments. HAVE A GREAT SUMMER. #RaiderPride
