A classroom poster titled “Animal Habitat Boxes” shows two photos of young students proudly displaying shoebox habitat projects. In the left photo, a group of children stand and sit in a classroom while holding open shoebox dioramas decorated as different animal habitats with materials like cotton clouds, sand, grass, and small animal figures. In the right photo, several students sit behind a table where more shoebox habitats are lined up, including scenes that look like ocean, cave, desert, and polar environments made with craft supplies such as pipe cleaners, rocks, paper, and paint. The classroom background includes books, posters, and learning materials.

Kindergarten students created animal habitat boxes to conclude our Plants and Animals science unit. Each student chose an animal and built a small model habitat showing where that animal lives and what it needs to survive. Students included important elements such as food, water, shelter, and space. This project helped students demonstrate their understanding of how animals live in different environments and what they need to grow and stay healthy.
