JH Robotics Team

JH robotics did amazing today at their competition at ESU5! Ten teams competed and Southern's Team Venezuela brought home a first place win and an awesome trophy, and Team Mexico took 4th place!

Robotics students completed four different challenges:

  1. Create a notebook documenting their learning and design process

  2. Build a bridge using 3D pens, and then drive their robots (that they coded how to move) across that bridge to pic up and retreive items

  3. Complete a pop-up / unknown challenge. This is a challenge that they were completely unaware of until they arrived at the competition. This year they needed to create a code that turned on various colored lights and played certain songs.

  4. Compete in 4 rounds of Battle bots. Points were awarded for knocking opponents outside of the ring, tipping opponents over, and lasting the longest in the ring.
