All Cheer & Dance tryout permission forms are due THIS FRIDAY! You must have this turned in to Mrs. Dickinson in order to participate Monday morning for the first day of tryouts on April 20th. Tryouts will be held the week of April 20-24th at 6:45am! Judges will determine who makes the team on the evening of Friday, April 24th at 6:30PM! Flyer for ESU 5 Family Engagement Night featuring logos for ESU 5 and Nebraska Transition. The event invites families of children with disabilities to learn about available supports and connect with professionals. It will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at 900 West Court Street, Beatrice, NE 68310. Highlights include meeting agency professionals, networking with other families, learning about waiver services, understanding transition planning, asking questions, and checking in with vocational rehabilitation. The 8th grade JAG students had an awesome day at Career Adventure Days hosted by IGNITE Pathways! Students rotated through 39 different hands-on career exploration stations—everything from simulation machines to building projects and skill-based activities.

One of the highlights of the day was how students got to choose their favorite careers and dive deeper, experiencing what a day in that profession might actually look like. It was a great opportunity to connect learning with real-world possibilities!

Promenade Update for Saturday, April 11, 2026

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, the Southern Promenade will be relocated to the Commons area. A designated space will be available along the sides for patrons to attend and view.

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and the Nebraska State College System have recognized 15,246 students statewide for the 2025–2026 Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Student Award.

This award honors students in grades 9–12 who participate in three or more NSAA-sanctioned activities during the school year.
