Business Teacher, FBLA Sponsor, JH Girls Basketball Coach I am Mrs. Jamie Schluter and I began my teaching career at Southern in 2014. I am a business teacher and offer several different courses including Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Personal Finance, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Marketing, Career Education, Business Communications, Information Technology I/II, IT Fundamentals, and 7th Grade Computer Applications. I am the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) sponsor and the junior high girls basketball coach. I attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice for my first two years of college from 2009-2011 and completed the Academic Transfer program. I was a member of the volleyball team, as well as part of PBL and Student Senate. I then transferred to Peru State College for my final two years of college from 2011-2013. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, and Information Technology Endorsement (6-12) with a minor in Human Resource Management. I was the president of PBL at Peru State and a member of the Peru Student Education Association. I earned my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction through Peru State College in the fall of 2017. Since then, I have completed six graduate-level courses through Wayne State, UNL, and UNO to continue furthering my education in the business education world. My husband Chris and I were married in July 2015. We live in Odell where he teaches K-12 physical education and coaches football and track & field. We have a son, Ty, who was born in September 2020, and a daughter, Atley, who was born in May 2023. I spend much of my free time with my family, and I enjoy shopping, listening to audiobooks, working out, and playing volleyball in any spare time that I can find.
