Romeo and Juliet

The ninth-grade English classes are finishing the reading of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." At the beginning of the unit, the students selected events from Shakespeare's time period to present to the class. Jazlyn Schell and Calee Belding presented information about The Black Plague. Students analyzed the language of Shakespeare and studied the figurative language of similes, metaphors, personification, hyperbole, puns, and idioms. A few members of the English 9 class are Josh Upton, Amealia Hopkins, Blaze Barleen, Damian Parrott, Alizya Wollenburg, Reegan Lauby, Jenna Forney, Torri Carbonneau, and Aliveea Vater. English 9 students in other sections include Taylor Watts, Haylee Barton, Caden Heusman, Logan Hopper, Calee Belding, Sidy Hosfelt, Jazlyn Schell, Ryan Boosinger, Axel Seeman, Koltan Ideus, and Jacob Ward.
