Southern Schools

My name is Malinda Hock and I am the 6th grade teacher at the elementary. I have been teaching at Southern Elementary School since August 2015. I attended college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where I received a degree in Elementary Education K-6 (2008) and a master's in Special Education K-6 (2017). I grew up in Kearney, NE where I attended Kearney Public Schools and graduated in 1999. I have three children Izabel, Greyson, and Stella. My children and I enjoy family movie nights, swimming, or anything outdoors. My favorite things about working at Southern are the students and the staff. The students work hard and always try to do their best. I also love seeing students learn and discover new things. The staff is fun to work with and is always collaborating and sharing ideas to do better for the students.
