Launch the media gallery 1 playerCongratulations to 8th grader Shelby March for participating in the Midwest Spelling Bee in Omaha on March 17th. There were 74 participants that competed ranging from 5th-8th grades across Nebraska and Iowa. Shelby was one of three participants that earned a spot in the Midwest Spelling Bee for a second year. Shelby spelled all ten of her round one words correctly, leaving 51 contestants remaining. Unfortunately, she was one of the 28 students that misspelled a word in the second round, leaving just 15 contestants left to compete. She did a great job and we are so proud of her. Congratulations!
