Information Technology II class

January 31, 2018

In Information Technology II class with Mrs. Schluter, students have begun to dive into the world of Microsoft Excel during the 3rd quarter.  Excel is a program that can be used to help analyze business, personal, or financial data.  It also allows students to create reports in a table format consisting of rows and columns.  Students are covering the basics of worksheets and workbooks, including how to add worksheet content and format worksheets.  They have learned how to work with ranges and create formulas.  Students are given the opportunity to explore the many, many types of functions and formulas that Excel is able to perform to complete advanced calculations.  To finish out the quarter, students will learn how to chart data in Microsoft Excel.  This includes developing basic charts and pie charts, formatting and adding elements to the charts, and comparing and analyzing the data presented by the charts.
