Congratulations to Shelby Decker who is the January Math Student of the Month for 2018! Shelby is an 11th-grade student who is currently taking Prob. & Stats / Advanced Math Class. Some of the things she just tested over were special right triangle formulas and the angle sum formula for polygons. Shelby is a busy student involved with many activities, yet she keeps up with her homework. If she is absent, she makes up her missing work and tests as quickly as possible. Shelby is not afraid to ask questions in class. If she does not understand something, she is brave enough to volunteer answers in class. Shelby is also willing to help others in her spare time. Shelby took the ACT Test last year and will take it again this year. Her ACT Math score was in the top 10% of all students who have taken the ACT at Southern High School for the past two years! Congratulations Shelby, who is the January Math Student of the Month!
