From the Math Teachers, Mr. Schiebur and Ms. Pospisil:
We have many academically talented students here at Southern High School, and so every month, it is difficult to choose just one math student of the month.
Congratulations goes out to Joshua Lundstedt who is the Math Student of the Month for the month of November 2017. Josh is an 11th grader who is currently taking pre-calculus. A couple of things he has been working with lately in pre-calc. class includes memorizing various formulas and practicing completing his work as fast as he could with some quiz bowl practice. Josh attended UNL Math Day on November 16, 2017 placing 135th out of around 1,600 students from across the state of Nebraska. Josh participated in Southern Math Quiz Bowl team and Southern High School placing 5th out of 16 schools in our division.
