Course Description: This is a class designed to raise your awareness of the health issues that teens face today. This will be a very interactive class that requires lots of class participation.
Class Expectations:
You must be in the room by the time the tardy bell rings. Half way does not count. Once in the room you need to find your seat and get out the materials needed for class.
Take care of bathroom and drink breaks in between class. Once your in the room your going to stay in the room.
You will be expected to take part in classroom discussions. This will be a big percentage of your grade. BE VERY RESPECTFUL of other student’s questions and statements.
There is NO talking while I’m talking. When you are ready to talk or have a question please raise your hand.
Sit up straight, face forward, and get involved in class discussion.
Grading:
Every day you will have the opportunity to answer questions, get involved in a class discussion, debate ect. If you are actively involved in these things you will earn five points. If you offer nothing to the class you will get no points. If you do not have the materials needed for class you will get no points. You will have quiz’s, pop quiz’s, and tests that will also be factored in.
ON TIME
You must be on time. You will receive a full detention after your third tardy
Behavior-
The first time there is a problem you will be warned. The second time you will receive a detention. The third will result in removal from class and a detention.
Materials
You will need a notebook, a pencil or pen, and a folder EVERYDAY.
