Cheerleaders Place 2nd at Dance Competition

On Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, the Southern Raider Cheerleaders competed at the first annual Spring Fever Dance Competition held at Milford High School. The event was sponsored by the Milford Dance Team. The Raiders performed 2 Pom Routines. The cheerleaders placed 2nd Overall and received a trophy. They also received the People’s Choice Trophy which was voted on by the audience. Milford dance squad placed 1st in the competition.
This competition is a warm up for the annual State Cheer and Dance Competition which will be held on Feb. 20 in Grand Island.
The Raiders will be competing in the Cheer portion of the competition with a Non-Building Non-Tumbling Routine and a Sideline Cheer. The cheerleading sponsor is Diane Creek.
