Pre-AlgebraReason for class: The purpose of this class is to improve the students math and algebraic skills. The class is a lot of review of basic math and algebra that they learned in seventh grade math. This review should help the student move on and be able to take an algebra course the students 9th grade year.Algebra and Whole Numbers: Using Decimals: Number Theory: Rational Numbers and Fractions: Basic Operations and Rational Expressions: Ratios, Proportions and Percents: Integers: Exponents, Square Roots, and the Pythagorean Theorem: Equations from Geometry: Graphing: Geometry: Data, Statistics, and Probability: Student grading policy: The students will be graded using homework, quizzes and tests. Test will count for 75% of the final grade, with standards counting for 15% and homework and quizzes 10%.
