EducationQuest Foundation is pleased to promote an opportunity
that will help your students learn money management skills and
possibly win a $500 college scholarship!
The opportunity comes from NSLP, a private, nonprofit agency
headquartered in Lincoln that assists students and families with
higher education access and choice. NSLP resides in the same
building as EducationQuest at 1300 O Street in Lincoln - and we
have similar missions that revolve around helping students access
college.
NSLP has developed Financial Literacy Online - a free,
comprehensive and convenient online learning center that teaches
students the basics of personal money management. NSLP is
partnering with EducationQuest to administer monthly drawings in
which Nebraska high school juniors and seniors who complete a
Financial Literacy Online course can win one of 26 $500 college
scholarships.
To enter, a student must successfully complete at least one course
on NSLP's Financial Literacy Online program between November 1,
2009 and May 31, 2010. Students who complete more than one course
will receive additional entries for each course successfully
completed.
Financial Literacy Online offers short online courses that cover a
variety of topics including:
Budgeting
Contracts
Identity Theft
Financing Education
Winners will be chosen monthly. An announcement will be delivered
to the winners and to the high schools they attend.
There is no purchase necessary. Students simply visit
www.nslpflonline.org/nebraska, register and begin taking courses.
Personal information will not be used for marketing purposes or
sold to outside parties.
