Band Trip 2012 Survey
Dear Parents
Please fill out this survey and return it to Ms. Gerdes by December
3rd. Your child can give the survey to Ms. Gerdes, or you can hand
it in to the elementary or high school office.
Please answer the following questions after a discussion with your child/children.
1) There will be zero_____ one______ two______ (mark one) student(s) from this family that plan to attend Band Trip 2012.
2) Given the list of possible itineraries, what location would
you like for the band trip. Each location has had $100 added on to
the trip price so that we can pass out money for food each day.
Each trip is 4 day/3 night package.
_____A) Branson, MO Approx. $575 Raise $143 a year
* This location has only a bussing option for travel
_____B) Chicago, IL Approx. $675 Raise $167 a year
_____C) Dallas, TX Approx. $505 Raise $126 a year
**At this early date it is very difficult to say just how much a
trip will cost because we do not have any control of gas prices,
gate prices, airline tickets. But I do know that the price to
Florida has gone up each time we have gone. In 00’, it was approx.
a $700 package for 5 days. In 04’ it was a $845 package for 5 days.
In 2008, it was a $1,000 package plus a $100 passport for the
Toronto trip.
3) Band trip sponsors plan the fund raising, attend meetings,
work at a majority of the fund raisers and sponsor students on the
trip. With past band trips, 2 sponsor packages were paid by the
band and the sponsors then split the cost of the remaining sponsor
packages. Would you consider being a Band Trip 2012 sponsor/trip
organizer?
