Colby Argo Selected to Kiewit Academy of Excellence

Southern Sophomore Colby Argo has been selected to attend the Peter Kiewit Academy of Excellence in Omaha during the week of June 22, 2008. Accompanying him will be Southern instructor Larry Jensen. All workshops will be hands on explorations of information science, technology and engineering.
During the week long academy, both Colby and Mr. Jensen will be taking part in various activities. Included in these activities are a behind the scenes tour of the Henry Doorly Zoo including the aquarium, Jungle, and the Imax Theater. They will also take behind the scenes tours of the Strategic Air & Space Museum and the Durham Western Heritage Museum.
