MUSIC WEB RESOURCES
Students of all ages that want to know more about instrumental music, composers, and music technology. Some sites are interactive and allow the user to practice rhythm and composing skills.
Parents can find additional resources to encourage their children to grow musically and to have a better understanding about music.
J.P. Sousa was one of the biggest influences of the formation of community and school bands in America. This site has a wealth of information on this director/composer.
A library of classical music you can download along with a wealth of historical information on the compositions and the composers. Very informative! Students may find the original version of solos they may be studying. It does require a membership, but you can browse a bit to decide if its worth it to you to be a member. Students at Southern: we are most like subscribed to it through the school.
High school site for learning the fundamentals of how music works. Chords, intervals, rhythms, composition.
Factmonster.com is marketed to elementary and junior high education; but after studying the site and talking with teachers - this site is appropriate for all ages. There are some great music sites within factmonster - go visit !
This is just too much fun ! Click on each horse and hear their assigned vocal parts. You can have a soloists, duet, trio, or quartet. Great for all ages. Need a smile; just click on this site !
